From the 1st July 2007, VCA became responsible for ensuring that retailers and distributors of electrical equipment play their part in helping household users to dispose of WEEE at the end of life.
VCA has extensive experience of enforcing legislative compliance and a Regional network of qualified officers are on hand to ensure that standards are met.
WEEE Consultation

BERR have published a consultation on new Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations and further developments of the supporting infrastructure to take effect from the fourth compliance period (1 January - 31 December 2010 onwards).

This consultation paper invites your views on the Government's proposals to amend the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2006 as amended by the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (Amendment) Regulations 2007. The closing date for responses is 6th April 2009

Regulation 59A refers to record keeping and states:
The Secretary of State shall publish the format in which records referred to in Regulation 34 shall be kept.
