From the 1st July 2007, VCA became responsible for ensuring that retailers and distributors of electrical equipment play their part in helping household users to dispose of WEEE at the end of life.

VCA has extensive experience of enforcing legislative compliance and a Regional network of qualified officers are on hand to ensure that standards are met.

Amendment to Regulations

Statutory Instrument 2007 No. 3454 - The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (Amendment) Regulations 2007, came into force on 1 January 2008.

Regulation 59A refers to record keeping and states:

The Secretary of State shall publish the format in which records referred to in Regulation 34 shall be kept.
