Reporting an Infringement of The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006 (referred to hereafter as "the WEEE Regulations").

The VCA is responsible for the enforcement of the regulations in so far they affect distributors obligations and rights: WEEE from private households.

The VCA will investigate where distributors may have failed in their obligation in respect of the following:

• Provide information to consumers in relation to the environmental impacts of EEE & WEEE and the separate collection of household WEEE;
• Facilitate the take-back of household WEEE from UK consumers;
• Make and retain records of the information provided, and any household WEEE received.
