You will learn:
This course is designed to assist health and safety practitioners to implement a system in accordance with the requirements of the standard.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand the requirements of OHSAS 18001, and how effective implementation can be undertaken.
- Understand methods of occupational health and safety monitoring and compliance with OHS legislation.
- Understand the benefits of OHS audits and checks.
Delivery options:
This course can also be delivered in a series of workshops, providing valuable time for implementation between the sessions, and allows time for questions, queries and answers on implementation problems. Courses can be delivered in your workplace or at an off-site venue, which ever suits you best.
Pre-requisites:
Candidates should preferably have a basic knowledge of health and safety legislation and requirements and should have access to and have read the OHSAS 18001 standard prior to the course. It is beneficial (certainly essential for the workshops) if candidates have practical exercises to work on in their workplace on return from the training to consolidate their understanding.
Materials and recognition:
A comprehensive set of learning materials will be supplied to support the course, which are also designed to act as a valuable data resource going forward. A certificate of recognition will be supplied to all successful candidates.
